    Thanks very much for the new version...

    Testing it (32bit only) was completely uneventful.

    Much appreciated.

    Thanks for that. MKVtoolnix 85 and 86 gave a "d3d12.dll missing" error on my win 7 64 bit when I tried to open gui.exe

    If I'm not mistaken, the qt5 version of the gui executable has a dependency on d3d9.dll.
    There has not been any other reports of this issue so unless someone else can confirm, this may be a problem with your local configuration.

    Win7 64 and using the 32bit version of MKVtoolnix. No problems here, a search over my drive c: gave this result:

    Edit:
    Out of curiosity I replaced the 32bit version of MKVtoolnix with the 64bit version. No problems, everything worked just fine. So I believe it must be a problem on David Banner's side...

    I have asked you before but i don't remember what you answer to me.
    Autodidact it's easy to create from the official new release compatibility for older windows like windows7?

    Looks like we have to clear up some confusion...

    I only use autodidact's versions because the "official" Mosu versions do not work under Win7 any more. If you fried do that it is the expected dehavior that you get this error.

    So if your OS is Win7 then you absolutely cannot use the official Mosu version. NO WAY !

    //edit//
    just saw your edited post. Your screenshot shows that d3d9.dll is present on your system which is the correct dll for autodidact's version. In your original post you say that you get an error message about d3d12.dll missing. Of course you do because Mosu's versions require this newer version.

    Lots of confusion from Cross-Posting...

    So I think everything is clear now. Under Win7 the original version by Mosu just does not work.

    And Mosu makes this very clear on his download page:

    The current version v86.0 is available as an installer and as a portable 7zip archive. Supported Windows versions are Windows 10/Windows Server 2016 and newer.
