Damn, you're really smart. I typically use the subtitle track to set the output file name by adding it first to the GUI, but under "Enable copying of items by their type" in the "Enabling items" settings "Subtitles" aren't selected because the majority of my movies are in my native tongue (then I leave the subtitles, unmuxed, in the folder with the .mkv file of the same name, just in case they're ever needed); however, for movies with foreign languages, I then simply manually tick the box to have the subtitle included in the muxing process. So, I'm thinking that the fact that the subtitle is originally not selected overrides the manual selection before muxing. I'll test this ASAP. Thank you.

A quick test and it's not exactly my thought above, but I'm sure your idea is in the right direction, autodidact. Thanks for the help

@autodidact There is something wrong with last qt6 based mkvtoolnix.you have uploaded on Win7.
mkvtoolnix-64-bit-91.0-Qt6_MOD.7z works fine.
mkvtoolnix-64-bit-91.0-revision-006-g33ae50a68-Qt6_MOD.7z not - see screenshot. It works only if I enable VxKex for it.

Thank you for testing and reporting. I will investigate and fix.
New test builds will be posted.PB -
@autodidact Thank you. Nice work. I'm testing it and now it works again on Win7 without VxKex.

My usual reply:
Downloaded (32bit only), tested several source files, no problems whatsoever...
Thanks very much

Thanks, autodidact, truly appreciate your commitment and work.
Tested 32/64Bit and both seem to work fine. -
@autodidact and jpsdr
Thank you for the job !
I confirm that VxKex is not necessary.
Notice that if the version on your machine is lower than the last official version, the proposed update is to mbunkus' site, not to jpsdr's github. -
Yes, the update notification in the non-official build points to the official download site. I guess that could be changed, though it isn't a priority.
Currently the users of unsupported OSes is expected to know where to source a compatible version.
As far as I know, that is either here or jpsdr's github.PB
