  1. I've been in love with this software for many years and I am sad to see it is no longer in development. Is it possible to get in contact with the original author? I would love to be able to do a few slight modifications, such as "bulk adding" instead of doing them one at a time, and setting some default parameters for output file locations.

    Thanks kindly in advance

  2. Hello, I've not heard that name for a while "rebox.NET'. I am the original author, you found me lol. rebox.NET kind of went into 'BOX4', much better, you could, and still can, 'bulk add', up to 100 files at a time if I remember correctly.

  3. Oh wow.. It's an honor to get a reply from the original developer!

I did see in another post about the "BOX4", and I did download it but I have not installed it yet. A little hesitant, not being familiar with it. All I know at present is that Rebox worked well for me, never had any issues or glitches. No idea if there were any bugs in it, and I was quite satisfied with the output, never having a need or desire to change it into any other format.

I was going to ask if the source was available for tweaking, but I guess that since BOX is out, there probably isn't a need for that now.

Mega thanks for all of the hard work you put into this, its been a pleasure to work with it! Kudos!!

I'm pleased rebox.NET was useful for you, seems such a long time ago, in fact, I had to go have a look at it, I'd forgotten what it looked like.
I'm not sure whether I have the original source code anymore, maybe too old to tweak now.
Yes, definitely give BOX4 a try, it's a big improvement. However, I don't develop it anymore.

Thank you for your kind words.

Haha, avi.NET and cladDVD, that takes me back, you've got a good memory there ricardouk, nice to hear from you again.

Well I never did do a successor, mkv.NET, I was working on something using Handbrake. I like Handbrake, but don't like having different options within different tabs so decided to put everything in one window for easy access, the unfinished project looked something like this:

I also was messing around with a simple downloader, I guess similar to TUBE4, alas, never finished:

I'd always hoped to find the time to carry on with these, who knows, maybe one day.

Good to hear from you, have a good day.

Your "gui's" have a unique and great look, great programing skills, everything looks "nice and tidy" hoping you can someday release something finished, the handbrake looks like a lot of work, waiting for the downloader. take care.
I love it when a plan comes together!
