  1. I am using CladDVD to rip the VOB files from my DVD's and TMPEG to encode the to MPEG. after I get the files converted to mpeg the audio is either ahead of the voices or delayed after the lips move. Any ideas?

Well the audio is obviously the problem here but you didn't even tell us how you processed the audio. If you haven't already I suggest you read some of the conversion guides on this site.

  3. Your audio's out of the sink?

I keep mine in the refrigerator, personally. I find that 44khz files will sound much fresher that way.

  4. 1) if the audio is outta sync by the SAME amount throughout the movie, you can use the audio skew feature in the source range filter in tmpgenc, you can audio skew the audio so that it starts earlier or later, depending on how much u want it to be

    2) if your audio gets progressively outta sync in the movie, which version of dvd2avi are u using?

    3) did you remember to remove multi-angles/seamless branching when ripping...you may need to goto options in claddvd and enable multi-angle processing or something similar

    4) which movie did you rip? claddvd may not be able to handle certain movies (i.e. T2 ultimate ed.)
