Youtube stress test. Did the YT encoding quality improve since past years?

One of mySony Fdr-AX700 camcorder, HDMI 4K lossless compression with Ut video and Cam Link HDMI-to-USB3 cpnverter. Cable fiber optical. SSD: 4TB Western Digital RED, which can provide sustained high speed lossless 4K recording for 5h 20 min.
Note: Let's don't forget, it is the only non professional and non big 4K Camcorder on the market, which can fully pass the 4K IMATEST ISO chart resolution test.

I did not use my gimbal, because I wanted to stress the encoding engine of the Youtube.

Just try to imagine the original lossless quality before the Youtube compression.

They haven't improved encoding when it comes to 1080p video and below, but yes, if you upload 1440p or higher, it does look pretty good.

"4K IMATEST ISO chart" doesn't matter much if the camera work is unviewably shaky, and compressed. In fact, because everything is compressed now, I'm not sure that it ever matters outside the manufacturer optics lab.

Also not sure about "stress the encoding engine of the Youtube", don't see the point. We all know Youtube video is harshly compressed. If you really want to test, you need to compare it to a constant. Scientific method. Perhaps look at some older "encoder shootouts" from magazines.

Is that gimbal bag, or a laptop bag?
If gimbal, hmm, neat. (Laptop bag for gimbal. I like it!)
But if it's a laptop running inside the bag -- why? Just get an Atomos, buy several SSDs. Add the H.265 license if you want. Right now, I'm just shooting H.264, because nothing I'm doing will look any better anyway, still learning the gimbal and camera. Sadly, I've not had time to shoot for at least the past month.

The laptop bag is for the laptop during recording. There is no laptop bag for gimbal, gimbals don't have bag, but a special HARD suitcase. Nobody use bulky gimbal suitcase in real life, only if you want to sell it or send the gimbal to somebody via post. Or maybe if you travel by an airplane, which limits your allowed package on airplanes

The captured video on the laptop is compressed in perfectly mathematically lossless way, so its quality is equal to uncompressed HDMI video. Read about UT video codec, to avoid such silly statements.
