I have a KLH 221 DVD player. I have it connected thru my VCR and from VCR to TV is a RF connection. My YV does not have a RCA connection.
When playing DVDs I get this annoying Brightness fluctuation throughout the movie. I read some where that this is due to Macrovision and seems this happens since I am playing thru the VCR.
Here's the toughest part:
I know the best solution is replace the TV (and VCR ). Also I do not want to hack the DVD player since I just borrowed it from my friend and I dont want to take chances.
Is there something I can do on the VCR/TV to change this ? VCR is Magnavox and TV Panasonic.
Let me know if you require more details.

The only thing I know of is to get ahold of an older VCD. One that doen't support Macrovision.

You have the classic Macrovision problem. You can go pick up an RF modulator (get one with multiple inputs), then connect both your VCR (using its composite video outputs) and the DVD to your TV through this.
You can get these at BestBuy (in the US). They are fairly common devices. As a last resort, pick up one at RadioShack. -
$25 at Wal-Mart, $30 at Radio Shack, $30 and up at Best Buy (depending on the number of switchable inputs).
As Churchill famously predicted when Chamberlain returned from Munich proclaiming peace in his time: "You were given the choice between war and dishonor. You chose dishonor, and you will have war."
