Video editing software with audio editing

Dears,

i would like to ask for tip regarding video/audio editing software. Currently i am using audacity, but when i synchronize audio for video a i am unable to to see & compare the result immedialtely after my synchro editing attemps. Its time consuming to export then the audio filem, muxing it and check.

products from adobe family are too expensive just for personal evaluating and usage.

Extra info: its fair to mention that my goal is:
- synchronize audio tracks that came from different video sources (that are different FPS formats etc). I know how to +- extract the source audio stream and put them in same fps
- usually i put one audio stream for reference that comes from the target video file. The second audio file is the one that i want to sync to fit in the target video.
- i need visual reference (target video). I will see if it still need adjustments, to delay +- the audio, copy & cut some scenes etc. (if audio comes from directors cut, special edition etc).

I dont need any other functions that are for professionals. I will then save the wav again to wav, or to ac3, or aac, or flac, or other formats if needed. etc.. (95% will be ac3)

One remark: i am also aware that there is no perfect solution for everything. I am looking for a tool that will fit my needs (which will suit me, based on my skill set, how much time it require learning and figuring out etc.)

If the Adobe family is more than you want to pay, try DaVinci Resolve -- which is similar enough that most of the keyboard shortcuts are the same --and is free at the basic level. It includes the very capable Fairlight audio system built in.

It may not output to all the formats you prefer, but once the files are synced, which is the tricky part, that's easy enough to convert using ffmpeg or other tools.

my advice is to use any of the freely available NLE's for Mac

Kdenlive, Shotcut, Openshot, HitFilm Express (free edition), DaVinci Resolve (free version), any of them will do what you want, some of them only allow manual syncing but some have automatic audio sync to a reference audio track.

This is what i was doing before, but its not 100% perfect in every situation. I have described my situation exactly like this before. When adding another language audio, you need also to see screen to better sync with the lips and mounth. Sometimes in other language they speak a bit longer than in original audio. Also you can not know from audacity if the audio is only backround audio, or the person is speaking to the camera (visible), some different audio languages they prepared the stream a bitt differenty. e.g. Person not visible on the camera speaks earlier or a little bit later etc. Thats why is really better to to see and to do the best fit

Disagree. Examples: Doors are closed, gun shots, brakes, loud noises, bells, etc.

Most M & E is under the Dialogue, so the peaks are still predominantly following the words.

With TunesKiT AceMovi, you can separate audio and video with just one click. As for the beep sound effect, you don't even have to search for it on the internet. You can browse the AceMovi sound effects library and find the beep sound effect, and directly use it without any limitation.

Isn't the different sample rates and sample frequency of the audio tracks that are "throwing" things off ?
correct re-sampling need to be done.

Unless there is some requirement that the same SR be on the output as the input, or the requirement that one edit between 2 tracks, then most good NLEs and DAWs can work with different SRs. But it is always best for everything to be consistent, and many editing workflows would already SR convert to a common denominator upon import.
But the OP didn't mention the audio being of different SRs, only the video being of different FPSs. Not necessarily related.

I totally understand the frustration of not being able to immediately see and compare your synchronization efforts. That can really slow down the process.
