Whenever I burn a DVD in some way, it says I need to insert a blank disc inside of the computer. I don't have a blank disc. Any ways to make a DVD with(out) a blank disc?

It helps if you state the software you are using and the type of files you are trying to burn, what is the file source, hard drive or a DVD video ...etc more details better help.

You can "burn" so called image a.k.a. ISO and later you can mount this image trough DVD emulator so it can be visible in your computer as regular DVD - not sure if dedicated media servers allow for similar operation (i.e. allow to mount image and present it to player as regular DVD disc).

Yes you can but the correct nomenclature is 'Create Image file from disc' as long as the disc is unprotected or Create Image file from files/folders of the DVD after you have decrypted it to your hard drive. If you have DVDFab then you can do this in one step, decrypt and make an Image file. The Image file (.ISO) can be mounted on your PC or MAC and play the normal way or the ISO file can be played on a range of atandalone media players or used to burn an actual disc.

A DVD ISO image file or a complete set of DVD files and folders are playable just like a DVD with Kodi, VLC or MPC-HC on a Windows computer. I think VLC on a Mac still works for playing DVD images and DVD files and folders. Kodi and VLC can work running on an Android media player.

As others have said you need to make an ISO (Image) on your hard disk. This might be in the output settings of the software you re using. But as you haven't given anyone any details about what software you are using no-one can really help you. Hence the Humorous comments.
