  1. Title says it all. I searched the forum, but found nothing. Windows 10, using free VSDC version 6.8.8.352.

When I click play, the playhead moves, but when I click the play/pause button, instead of the playhead stopping where it is, it always snaps back to the place where it started playing. Maybe there's a preference setting for it, but I can't find it.

    Thanks.

  3. "Play head of what?"

Huh, I thought I'd put that in the explanation.

I'm editing in VSCD free editor. I'm playing the first few seconds of a clip.
    1. I press play,
    2. I get to about the two second mark,
    3. I press the play/pause button—expecting it to pause or stop at the two second mark so I can cut it at the two second mark,
and instead of stopping at the two second mark, it always, yes always seems to go back to its starting point where it was when I pressed the play button originally. This happens whether I
    1. click the play button then the play/pause button, or
    2. if I'm using the spacebar to play and stop, or play and pause.

I've looked through VSDC's FAQs and Googled its forum, but there's nothing that I've been able to find. It may be unique to my system, I understand that, but I'm looking for whatever help I can find.

I though I was on VSDC's forum. I just saw that I'm not, dang it. D'oh!

    HTH.

Any general thoughts on VSDC - do you recommend it for beginners?

  6. I'm a beginner myself, so I can't say. Video and audio is and are a monster of monsters to learn, but learnable if someone has the time.
