  1. i dont know if anyone else got this problem or knows some answer.. please help me, because i'm trying for sooo long now.

    ok, here we go.
i'm trying to make a svcd with dvd2svcd 1.9b1 using cce2.5. When I load the vcd.ini file, everything goes allright and I find two wonderfull cue/bin files in my movie map.. but when I load the svcd.ini, dvd2svcd gives me the error: "VCDXBuild failed to create a bin/cue file!" Btw. same problem with VCDImager. When I use the No-image option, I wont get a movie at all....

ps. if you think dvd2svcd sucks.. well it freezes with me all the time also, then could you give me the resize values for virtual dub, for my movie, which is 624 x 336 and which option I have to choose in cce2.5 (4:3 or 16:9).

    btw. i'm using win 2k and a p3 1000 processor.

  2. N,
First i'd try to uninstall, reboot, reinstall the latest version.
Your souce sounds like a {divx or so} avi file. If you're getting those errors and it's from an avi file, the cause could be the audio, sometimes dvd2svcd has errors processing mpa audio.
Check that your folder map, specially the folder where you are dumping bbmpg_muxed files, doesnt contain any weird characters i.e. 'Dump_Mpgs' 'My_#hit-Folder', rather just a plain folder name 'bbmpgFiles'. <-- this is true even if it is a dvd.

Try fitCD to work out the aspect ratio. I'd encode it as a four:three.
The latest build had improved the cce freezing bugs somewhat. Try "vfapi_SLOW", mode, and check RESample Audio even if you're not on an amd system.

If your movie is a dvd ripped to the hard drive, vts1_01-4.vob, {as opposed to FnFurious_dvdrip{1of2}.avi}, then try ripping and encoding directly from the dvd , internal routines or vstrip, and see if it makes the images. How high or low are you going on your bitrates? If i do a low bitrate , ill get a bbmpg error say one of every fifteen rips or so. While dvd2svcd may not be for everybody or every occasion/source encode, it does rock.
