have just down loaded a film that was a dvd rip (avi) i have tried to convert it to mpeg with tmpgenc but no luck it just crashes have tried to chop it with avichop no luck it crashes also media player still crashes
i can play it with divx 5
so i am at a bit of a lose on how to convert it

Load into Vdub, select video and audio streaming and save out another copy, use second copy in TMPGEnc
