    Hi,

First I apologize if I am posting in the wrong section. I am indeed not only a newbie, but very much a novice when it comes to Audio and Video on the computer, but I am excited to learn and hope that folks will forgive my ignorance and I greatly appreciate your patience any assistance you may be able to offer. I am a Mac user, but I do have access to a my partner's Windows laptop if that option proves to be necessary to capture the 2 videos I hope to capture. I reside in the U.S. and have frequently been frustrated by being unable to view (much less capture) videos on the BBC/iPlayer, iTV and other sites outside of the United States. While I understand that this is called Geoblocking and is necessary for various reasons. I also understand that there are likely folks outside of the United States/North America who experience the same problem in reverse. I had all but given up hope until I got a Britbox subscription which I use for watching movies on Television and then began to wonder if this might permit me access online but to no avail. I trust that the issue there may be similar to the issue with trying to capture movies from my Netflix or Amazon Prime account (the latter has been particularly frustrating when I have purchased Amazon films that are available as digital only purchases but despite indicating that I will be able to download those from Amazon, I am unable to do so.) I apologize for the slight digression, but I just remembered that there is one particular Amazon Prime 30 minute film that I cannot seem to download to my computer, which I can post in a separate thread.

The issue I am having that I wanted to inquire about here are related to a couple of concert videos by Madness on the German site
    ( https://www.magenta-musik-360.de )

The link to the first one is:
    Madness Live at Eden Session
    https://www.magenta-musik-360.de/madness-live-at-eden-session-9208205928595292198

The link to the second one is:
    Madness Plays Baloise Session

Below is the error message I receive when trying to view... Thanks for any help in advance!

Unfortunately, this content is not available in the country in which you are currently located due to licensing reasons. However, many other concerts that can be watched again and again can be used without restrictions. Look around at www.magenta-musik-360.de

The content you are trying to access is unfortunately unavailable in your region. But many concerts with unlimited access are waiting for you on www.magenta-musik-360.de

  3. Use a VPN or proxy in Germany. You can then view the videos. (Note that streaming sites often try to block VPNs so not all VPNs will work. And people/companies that run proxies don't like you leeching their bandwidth -- so it may be hard to find a "free" one that works.) You can use Developer Tools in a web browser (F12) to get the m3u8 URL to use with yt-dlp. For example, the first video:

    Code:
    yt-dlp --no-check-certificate "https://streaming.magenta-musik-360.de/vod/DE/BLS_MadnessEDEN/hd/index.m3u8"
To download even faster you can use multiple concurrent threads. For example, to use 4 threads:

    Code:
    yt-dlp --no-check-certificate --concurrent-fragments 4 "https://streaming.magenta-musik-360.de/vod/DE/BLS_MadnessEDEN/hd/index.m3u8"
