When compressing a video with XVID codec (using VirtualDub) a "Status" window pops up and STAYS up even when compression is finished. It's annoying because I am compressing multiple short clips and have to keep manually closing this status window each time. Although the status window has a box to check saying "Automatically close window when completed" this must be checked while each clip is being compressed and quickly since compression of these clips takes only a few seconds. Does anyone know of a way to prevent the status window for XVID from appearing during compressions?

Configure Xvid MPEG-4 Codec: click ( Other Options... ) at the bottom of the VfW dialog, then uncheck [_] Display Encoding Status in the [ Encoder ] tab.
