yt-dlp similar for crowdbunker?

hi,

i recently use yt-dlp to backup few youtube and odysee videos channel
it works like a charm with youtube
and it works very slowly with odysee, but at least it works

but impossible to find any software to works with crowdbunker videos

i mean i can use ant video dowwnloader or video download helper, but it's very not convenient to download video 1 by 1

is there a software or a way to create a CMD or powershell batch to automatically download crowdbunker videos channel same as with yt-dlp?

You can batch download with yt-dlp
https://github.com/yt-dlp/yt-dlp#filesystem-options

And you can speed up downloads by multi-threading

yt-dlp -N 32 "mpd-url"

Or by putting aria2c in the same dir as yt-dlp

yt-dlp --external-downloader aria2c "mpd-url"

But not both......

thanks for the multithread and/or aria2c advice, i will try

if i can give an advice too to everybody here, it's to use this batch command :
yt-dlp.exe https://xxxxxxxxxx --download-archive FILE.txt

in this way if you want again download this video channel few weeks later, thanks to the FILE.txt file, yt-dlp will not download again same files again, but only the new one, super convenient

and no crowdbunker not works with yt-dlp i am afraid

i don't know what's wrong about crowdbunker
i am sure about the URL, i already download all those CSI videos one by one last week with the two firefox videos addon i said above
but i notice there are many other interesting video channels on this website, and honestly i have not the time or courage to go again to download many video there one by one, or maybe i will do but i really hope i can find a better solution
seems crowdbunker is really anti censorship, seems they protect so much their videos from governements to not delete them, that at same time they also protect too much their videos from normal people to download them ^^

The fragments only amount to 1gb and then will be deleted after amalgamation.

Quite simple to make a batch with urls now.

seems crowdbunker is really anti censorship, seems they protect so much their videos from governements to not delete them, that at same time they also protect too much their videos from normal people to download them ^^

i have to admit i download much more faster with your multithread advice

i will see within 5 minutes if those 4000+ part frag files will become at the end a big beautiful video file

forgot to said that even with the 2 video addon for firefox, i had to download 2 files per video, one for video and one for sound, and had to merge them manually for each video with mkvtoolnix, was not convenient at all

yes now i can try to batch, after i understand how you found those 720p videos url from crowdbunker

Click video Playback quality and change it from default 480p to 720p

Open dev tools and filter url for m3u8

Right click on 720p entry > Copy > Copy url (in Firefox)

If you have any merging issues its easily solvable, although yt-dlp defaults are different to youtube-dl (if u used that before it died.)

Plus put ffmpeg in same dir as yt-dlp

i confirm the 3990 temp files have become a single video file, and speed download was perfect, but no sound
but it's ok, i also found where you found those urls with ant video downloader, i will add audio urls in the batch too
about merging at the end all videos files with audio files do you have an idea?
seems there is -multistreams option with yt-dlp, but never tried it, in worst case it's ok i think i will find a way with mkvtoolnix
now i am going to play how to use batch with yt-dlp

Hi again, I try to use all your advices above to download other videos channels on crowdbunker, but i still don't understand where you find this "799+audio1-Francais" ?

so i have try to find other solutions and done researches on "yt dlp postprocessor args ffmpeg Merger" and write both video and audio url in batch, it's downloading correctly the audio file and the video file, but can't merge them

if it's too complex to explain don't worry i will still use mkvtoolnix manually, but i have to admit it's hard to come back to my complex and slow process after have used your super effeciency code

Use the yt-dlp FORMAT command - note capital F

Note you may need a fresh m3u8 - one from yesterday may be expired.

To see available formats. Different VODs and different channels may all have different available formats.

Then use the -f command (note lowercase) to download your required formats.

if you want it's also one way to say i am out of the darkness

which means a lot to me during this last few months of covid and try to deeply understand what is really happening (for example those CSI video, if you understand french speaking, help a lot to understand daily covid news but from a viewpoint without any corruption)

honestly at the beginning i just did few reasearch to make my choice between doing covid injection or not, then i have discovered so many things behind this covid, things that i have even no idea it's even exist, now i can't stop to do researches about that and everything that has link to that, it's very interesting, but sometimes give also headaches, or sad feeling, it's also not 100% sure to know who speak right and who speak wrong, it's also why i continue my researches, to find the truth, to know how to recognize the truth

if everybody in politics and science was as efficiency as you, covid would have already disappear after only few days

actually if we are on this forum it means we like computer stuff, so we should be happy the new world order will transform slowly but surely humans to kind of cyborgs, but when i see all the lies around covid it's harder to feel positive about our future, but it's an other subject which would needs hours and days of debate (debate which is by the way almost completely forbidden now if you dare to think in an other way than our gouvernements)
