How many Amps for Canopus ADVC-100

Hello to everyone

I need help, please.

I have Canopus ADVC-100, brilliant peace of hardware,
but unfortunately, lost A/C adapter.

I have plenty different A/C 5V adapters in my home
(from old Monitor, WiFi router, old LapTop, etc...),
but I do not know how many Amperes ADVC-100 needs.

Someone who has original Canopus ADVC-100 A/C adapter,
would you be so kind to read on placard how many Amps
is on Output.

According to this, https://cvp.com/pdf/canopus_advc100.pdf, it draws 5.5 watts so 1.1 amps should do but I'd go with 1.5 - 2 amps to be safe.

Yes, the ADVC-100 is good – for PAL, but then you might as well just use a Sony MiniDV or Digital8 camcorder with analog –> Firewire passthrough for the same result and less cost.

but you mean that i should use it when capture content from miniDV or Digital8, not from VCR?

No, you do not need anything but a suitable camcorder and a Firewire interface on the PC to transfer digital tapes such as MiniDV and Digital8.
In addition to that, many camcorders of that era have the ability to take Composite or S-Video plus stereo audio from an external source such as a VCR and convert it to DV. That's exactly what the ADVC-100 does (it's a DV capture device with analog inputs), therefore a camcorder with this feature is a good alternative for someone who wants to go the DV route of capturing analog video.
