Hello, I'm very new to all this but keen to learn.

I purchased WinX DVD Ripper Platinum and have been moving my DVDs to digital files for a home media system I'm setting up. I have a TV show which supplies an index of the episodes on disk. There are clearly 4 episodes listed for the disk, and WinX DVD Ripper can see 3 of the episodes (approx 40 min each) but the 4th one doesn't appear in the listed items on the disk.

Has anyone seen this before, and if so, how do I get around this problem?

I'm also interested in knowing the best format to use when creating my digital files from disk in WinX DVD Ripper. I've been using the suggested MP4 setting, but some of the files when played back on the PC are less than stellar. I was hoping to keep the good resolution and picture quality but it appears that I've probably not taken full advantage of a DVD image when converting.

    Thanks all.

Try one the free programs to access the disk.
MakeMKV, DVD Decrypter, DVDFab HD decrypter, AnyDVD

Once you have the video_ts folder on your HDD the way it should be,
you can use Vidcoder to convert the titles to mp4
