Hi all,
I hae vapoursynth installed on MX-21 Linux. It is now up-running.
The installation is quite simple and straight forwards running on MX-21 Linux Konsole/Terminal following command lines:-
Code:$ sudo apt update $ flatpak remote-add --if-not-exists flathub https://flathub.org/repo/flathub.flatpakrepo Login as administrator $ flatpak install flathub org.bitbucket.mystery_keeper.VapourSynthEditor
That is all.
To start vpoursynth running following command line on Konsole
I'm now searching tutorial for using vapoursynth.Code:$ flatpak run org.bitbucket.mystery_keeper.VapourSynthEditor
On googling I found follows;

Tutorial - Using VapourSynth vs AVISynth+ for QTGMC: Round One
http://macilatthefront.blogspot.com/2018/12/using-vapoursynth-for-qtgmc-round-one.html
Pls shed me some light where shall I start ?
Thanks

here's another tutorial on using vapoursynth - https://www.l33tmeatwad.com/vapoursynth101

lsatimis - to install vapoursynth try to follow that previous link provided by october262, click Linux links, you need to have dependencies then install it. You just mentioned vapoursynth editor, which is a vapoursynth editor where script could be written and also tested with preview. I did not tested that workflow from l33tmeatwad, perhaps soon, because on linux I still use an old repository version (outdated now).
To find out if you install it, navigate to python editor from terminal, typing python or maybe pythonxx for specific version of python, then from there:
>>>import vapoursynth
there must be no errors -
Thanks for your advice.
I have no problem installing vapoursynth on MX Linux and Ubuntu Linux just on Terminal/Konsole running;Code:$ flatpak remote-add --if-not-exists flathub https://flathub.org/repo/flathub.flatpakrepo Login $ flatpak install flathub org.bitbucket.mystery_keeper.VapourSynthEditor
Code:$ flatpak run org.bitbucket.mystery_keeper.VapourSynthEditor

ok, looks like it's some repo by someone involved with svp or mpv.
Why just not start what l33tmeatwad posted vapoursynth101, its in that link, check his website, https://www.l33tmeatwad.com/vapoursynth101, exactly what you need, starting with basic scripts and filtering video.
Not sure if that repo installs plugins to load video filepaths, https://www.l33tmeatwad.com/vapoursynth101/importing-videos , like ffms2 or lsmas (LibavSMASHSource and LWLibavSource), if yes, you are good to go, start up vapoursynth editor and follow those basic scripts
or check https://forum.doom9.org/forumdisplay.php?f=82 , vapoursyth forum, where folks involved with vapoursynth development post as well, lots of scriptsLast edited by _Al_; 4th Dec 2021 at 20:25.
