Howday, I have a 900 MHZ with 356 RAM and am using the Dazzle Digital Video Creator 80 USB hardware with VideoWave 5.0. In the past, on this machine I was able to capture video just fine, but now everything I try and capture is very choppy and slow. It's like the machine cannot keep up with the video transfer rate from my Sony Camcorder. Any one have any ideas? If more info is required please let me know. Thanks!![]()

Assuming nothing has changed on your system, try defraging (Windows Disk Defragmenter) the harddrive where the captured video is saved.

Ok, I can capture things ok in M-PEG format, but AVI hangs real bad. I can't the clarity of AVI for my VCDs, MPEG is just not cutting it! I have ran defrag three times, plus a complete scan disc with no errors. What else could it be! Damn this Dazzle!

What are you using to play the AVI file. Software such as vdub does not play large AVI's well, as it is not meant as a player, but an editor. Have you tried encoding the AVI to MPEG, is it still choppy.
