  1. I have a bunch of old videos (2013) and none of them will play in windows media or vlc

I'm sure they were taken on some kind of old cell phone. I am wondering if there is some way I can get them to play before discarding them. any help would be most appreciated!

I know very little about this, but I do know enough to check the codec info....(thanks so much in advance)

    this is the codec information

  3. VLC shouldn't have any problem playing AVC video and AAC audio in MP4. Yes, we'll need to see a sample.

Others may disagree. But that video appears to be D.O.A.

There is a header but then many bytes with zero data with the affect that the first frame is not seekable.

This is not a video file.
The file contains a video header information, but the rest is garbage.
The file cannot be played or repaired.

  8. I got the same thing, a valid mp4 header but invalid data where the video and audio streams should be.
