hi, im having a bit of a problem with SmR nAVIs. whenever i convert them to mpg with tmpgenc and burn the mpg with nero everything appears to be fine but when i watch the vcd on my tv there are these purple boxes that appear every few seconds and clutter the screen. its awfully annoying and when i watch the regular nAVI on my computer there isnt a sign of these purple boxes. they look like glitches or something. also, it only seems to be happening when i burn telesync movies. when i burn dvd rips they appear to look fine without a trace of those purple blocks. im converting them to NTSCFilm mpgs just like SmR says to do. any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks alot!

mikep,
I dont have a definate answer, but i have a vcd that i made with the same purple boxes. I remember while encoding the vcd using TMGPenc on my P2/300 system, i needed to connect to the internet via dialup modem. These purple boxes appear in the video during the connection and disconnection from the internet.
I now have a P4 for video stuff and the P2 does internet.
Its probably a resource problem(lack of ram,cpu power) which can be caused by having too many applications running at the same time.
Just my experience. Hopefully, others will respond.
