  1. Hey kids :D
Ok question one, I made some home footage and want to add little 'Beeps' in the audio so that viewers cant hear what I am saying (like swearing in most TV shows etc) I have VirtDub, Premiere 6, TMPEGenc, SubStationAlpha (which says u can add a sound file, but you can't make the beep take over because you can still hear whats said!!!!! :p) and can get hold of most other software thats needed.. Please can you point me in the correct direction guys and gals !!
Question 2 (yeah I know im pushin my luck) - In SubStationAlpha, when creating the subtitles, how do you change the default font from Yellow, 14, Ariel to something like White, 48, Ariel... I have to keep selecting 'style override'... Thanks again!!
    Bye.
This is that block of text which gets added to all the posts I create. There is a 255 character limit.

  2. I am not sure you can use SSA in VirtualDub and get the Beep Sound.
I would try the following method.
    1. Save your soundtrack as WAV (in VDub File -> Save WAV)
    2. Open the above saved soundtrack in any WAVE Editor (GoldWave, Nero Wave Editor or any thing.
    3. Note down the total duration (hh:mms:ms)
    4. Move the pointer to the area you want to replace with a BEEP. Note the time (Try to be exact to the Millisecond). Select the area and delete it.
    5. Insert the Beep sound at the time noted in step 4. (The Beep sound should possibly have the same parameters as the WAVE file - Sampling rate, etc)
    6. If the final duration is not same as that in step 3, Insert Silence or Beep sound at the current point and edit the sound to arrive the final duration.
    7. Save the WAV file and insert it into VirtualDub (Audio -> WAV audio)

As for question 2, You can define styles in the beginning of the script and use the style name in your Dialogue lines.
