  1. hey...i just got a new movie (Spider-Man) and it's in avi format...but i dont know what it's encoded to...so can i encode it to VCD and play it on my standalone DVD player? or will it probably be a waste of my time to try?

  3. ok...lol i got it to work. but when i play it in my DVD player the sound skips around alittle. is there any way to fix this? (i'm using the panasonic MPEG1 Encoder 2.5) and the movie is really dark...any way to brighten it up alittle?

  4. Panasonic doesnt like to decode anything - so make sure you converted the audio stream to WAV first before you feed it into Panasonic

    also panasonic is not good for resizing - you might have cut off a ton of your movie without knowing it -- use VirtualDub for your resize first

    frameserve from VirtualDub - within VirtualDub you can fix a lot of problems (including darkness) -- It's too long for me to explain here so do a bit of research on VirtualDub frameserving - it's not very hard, honest

    also - get the ctp-sm version of spider man in SVCD -- a little birdy told me that version LOOKS AMAZING
