Hello,
I am trying to add (hard burn) a subtitle (Hebrew) to a movie, using "HandBrake".
The movie file is mp4 and the subtitle file is .srt.
First I start the movie in the player (MPC-HC) and load the subtitle for a minute or two to see if its ok.
If not, change the font type, change the size and play it again. If satisfied, load them into "HandBrake" and make a preview. Here starts the problem : No matter what font type or font size in the .srt file, on the movie there is always same font (shape and size), and a black shadow.
Made a search in the program, could not find anything to set font type or size, shadow or not shadow.
This was the same in version 1.3.3 and now in the new version 1.4.1. (Had to install .NET 5.0.9 to make it run).
Answers will be appreciated
Thanks

There is no official SRT specification beyond the text and time to display it. Many renderers don't respond to font type and font size settings in an SRT file. You would have to change those settings within Handbrake. But I don't think Handbrake supports it.
You might be able to work around this by converting your SRT subtitles to ASS format. Handbrake may respond to the font and size settings with that. -
