    Is it possible to insert image or text in some part of video? Not on the full length of it, but somewere with specified time... e.g. at time 10:00 and keep it displayed for 2 seconds...

    TextSub will allow you to use Subtitles (text). Or you can use a logo filter to overlay images. You can use the curve editor to limit the effect of any filter to a range of frames.

    VirtualDub2 also has a DrawText filter which lets you select the font and size, position the text, and apply it only to a range of frames.
