Noob here, trying to get a VCR to work. It worked perfectly just a few months ago, but now when I try to use it, I keep having a very strange problem. It's hard to describe, so I attached a video showing what happens. Keep in mind that I'm not touching any of the buttons, it's doing all of this by itself. Also, it's not the tape, because the same thing happens with every tape I try. So what do you think? Is this fixable, or should I just replace the VCR?

Looks like something mechanical is wrong during the loading sequence and it's bailing. Make and model would help.
Everything is fixable, just depends on whether the VCR model is worth you likely paying several hundred dollars to diagnose and repair.
Looks like this is a standalone VHS>DVD unit, so unless someone has a for sure diagnoses for you probably not worth it.
