When I capture with ATI All-In-Wonder 128 updated with the MMC 7.1 TV for capturing, I get an mp2 file when capturing mpeg2. However, when I try to open it with TMPGEnc 12a, it'll have mux:// in infront of the file name, and no video appears in the preview screen. Am I missing something. It used to work prior to my reloading Windows 98SE.
Thanks,
Mike

drop TMPGEnc 12a and get the latest version
install a MPEG-2 codec from the tools sectionyour pal,

...or just change the .mp2 file extension to .mpg. I would check out the newest tmpg as stinky suggests as well.

@next: that won't do it - unless a program has installed an mpeg-2 codec or filter - it's much like DivX -- you can't open a .avi DivX no matter the extension, unless you have the DivX codec installed --- the test is if you can open it in MS Media player you can open it in TMPGEnc
I know the ATI MMC software does not install one that will allow you to open the file in TMPGEnc
The LSX Encoder package does - and a few others do but DVD software does notyour pal,
