  1. I just made a VCD and everything during the process went perfectly. Went to pop it into my home DVD player and the DVD player didnt like it. I looked in the CD I made and there are a bunch of folders and odd files that I dont recognize on there. Should there be a *.vcd file on there? I have a large file sized *.dat file, but nothing that specifies a VCD. I'm wondering if there was a burning mishap, or maybe my DVD player can't play VCDs? It is an older one, so I'm wondering if thats it.

    Any help is appreciated.

have you tried burning on a cd-rw? they are often more compatible
did you check out the dvd player list? it might give you soe hints as to why it doesn't work
