  1. Hi everyone,

I am attempting to play back video on my mobile device (CAT B26). Since only FLV and AVI formats are supported I have to convert my original MP4 files accordingly.
A sample AVI file i acquired online works just fine. Its attributes are documented in the image below:

On the contrary, my conversion software (MiniTool Video Converter) produces a AVI variation that is not being played back, even though sound can be heard:

The same goes for the FLV type.
As I am inexperienced with video conversion I can not identify the critical settings that might cause the issue.

Your help will be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks in andvance.

  2. Main difference I see is that the first one uses Standard MPEG-4 ASP and the second some old pre-standard (in this case this means not standard conform) video.
-> use another software or if the software allows it another encoder like XviD or DivX which is MPEG-4 ASP conform.

  3. Use clever Ffmpeg-Gui, convert to xvid and mux to avi

  4. @ProWo: you should at least tell him how to configure that tool to be compatible with the first clip since the standard settings are probably not.
