Hello everybody,
I have been digitizing my VHS with Diamond VC-500 capture device and Honestech VHS to DVD 8.0 Deluxe software in MPEG2 for a long time, but the result is bad. I want good quality files but not too heavy.
I recently started running my Video8 tapes with my Sony DCR-TRV120 camera through the firewire port, capturing with Adobe Premiere in DV AVI and then compressing them to a high bit rate of h.264.
I wonder if it is possible and a good idea to capture my VHS via firewire using the Sony DCR-TRV120 as a capture card via its A / V RCA port.
On the other hand, any software that captures directly compressed? like Honestech VHS to DVD but better quality. It's certainly a lot easier by not having to wait for compressions (and taking up the entire hard drive).
Thanks everyone for your help
