Wasn't exFAT supposedly the successor to / replacement for FAT32 ?

I've been mostly relying upon the published CoPilot removal methods so far, plus an assist from the O&O ShutUp program. That said, it would be nice to know everything relevant that ought to be nixed in Windows Firewall. For some extra assurance ? From what I've heard, Windows has a history of disregarding the blocking of certain things (such as via use of the HOSTS file), so it may be that some third-party firewall product is instead required.

If you want to replace the built-in firewall of Windows, give a try to the "famous" TinyWall.
It worked fine on my previous Windows 8.1 setup, but with the current one, there is no way to make it work,
since it now requires Windows 10 or higher and the author offers no old versions in his web site.😠

I have Gigabyte H270N ITX motherboard(Kaby Lake chipset). This system was bought in 2017. It just miss the Windows 11 upgrade cutoff.

It needs at least an 8000 series CPU i.e. 8th gen cpu or later. With the help from Win-Raid Forum, I flashed a mod BIOS and the motherboard now can support 8th Gen cpu.

Messing with the BIOS needs some hardware, software and skill. But it is not insurmountable.
Now, I extend the life of this system for another few years.

Well, the point of TinyWall is to get rid of the native Windows Firewall.
I used TinyWall in the same way I used the ancient firewalls Kerio, FilseClab and PCTools during the XP/Vista/Seven Eras:
only for defining which programs are allowed to use the Internet and which ones are not.
Currently I'm using Windows Firewall because, well, I've already learned how to deal with its convoluted interface.

Well, WHO coulda predicted that ?!

I'd check this out if I gave a rat's posterior about 11, or had any slightest intention of running it (which I don't), but . . . guess we'll see if any bypass to their bypass emerges. I'm not in the habit of betting against the ingenuity of hackers.
