And then, for the explorers and adventurers:

A Stripped down Win 11, sans the Orwellian crap:

    https://tech-latest.com/ghost-spectre-windows-11/

    but then, some cautions:

    &
    https://www.elevenforum.com/t/ghostspectre-windows-11.7785/

and there seems to be a version for Win 10:

As said in one of the above forums, and shown in the video at top, I think a VM may be the way to go for this.

Microsoft confirms Windows 11 22H2 breaks Windows Hello.

In today's episode of "What Windows 11 22H2 breaks this time",🤭
we have the broken Windows Hello authentication system.

  6. I bought this Windows 11 mini desktop PC:

    https://www.amazon.ca/Beelink-Mini-Computer-Bluetooth-Ethernet/dp/B0B3MQRLKX/ref=sr_1_...05&sr=1-4&th=1

I also bought this wireless keyboard with trackpad:

    https://www.amazon.ca/Logitech-Wireless-Touch-Keyboard-920-007119/dp/B014EUQOGK/ref=pd...014EUQOGK&th=1

So far I am not finding Windows 11 as bad as I feared it would be. I do a few things I need to sort out to get more functionality out of it. I disabled Microsoft Teams and signed out of that Widget thing on the side. I am going to launch a topic to to hopefully get some advice on some specific things. I haven't taxed the machine much yet but I do want to see what it can do.

Covered previously in this thread, but

    https://www.oo-software.com/en/shutup10
    &
    https://github.com/Open-Shell/Open-Shell-Menu

both proved very desirable for 10. I don't see where support for 11 is mentioned anywhere, but if they are still applicable, I'd say get and use them.

Thank you for your advice. I will give some thought to those programs. Actually there are some things I like about Windows 11. Of course Windows 7 is my comfort zone. I am interested in stopping Microsoft Windows from monitoring and logging what I do. So these programs you suggested may prove very useful.
