  1. Hi there
    I've been converting some videos using various software for a number of years now, but one thing I always assumed was the case until now is the question I have asked above. If I have a video that I have deinterlaced, does that make it progressive?
    The reason I ask this question is that I have only just noticed that some of the software conversion programs give you the option to Force Deinterlace AS WELL AS Force Progressive (ie Shutter Encoder)?

    All this stuff about videos being interlaced or progressive can be very confusing, especially for those who are just dabbling with the various settings.

    It becomes progressive but doesn't take into account how well it was done.
