1. I have a movie with imbedded subs. No other subs were find online.
The issue is that there is a break
at each line and then the preciously spoken line is added to the next line
example
Line 1: Morgan: So, i'm-I'm feeling
Line 2: Morgan: So, i'm-I'm feeling
pretty confident, at this point,
(also see attached for more)

I want to delete the break and everything before it so I don't see the previously spoken line,
So line 2 should read: pretty confident, at this point,

Is this a simple-ish fix - if so how?
I am using Subtitle Edit 3.6.1

Extract the sub and in subtitle edit go to tools/merge lines with the same text.

3. I tried that and SE didn't come up with any suggested changes to make. Likely because the lines are not quite the same

Can't be fixed automatically,If you want it fixed you will have to delete all the repeated lines manually.

addic7ed is good for tv subs but they have unavoidable links buried in their pages but they can be closed right away.
