    You should remove it from YouTube and IVTC it before doing the comparison.

    Although I agree with your 3 points, I don't think YouTube is the right setting to be making comparisons like that.

    YT has never been the best place for things like that.. but I noticed Youtube's video quality nowadays is a lot A LOT worse than it was only a couple of years ago.

    Their actual encoding/compression algorithms are crazy and shitty

    You may have to be premium partner to get higher quality?... YouTube seems to repel more and more the small content creators which don't help making the big profits with advertizing. Recently they changed their ToS to allow themselves displaying ads without consent of the channel owners.

    I found this forum after trying every Topaz Enhance AI conversion mode in their free trial. Every thing I tried in it (VHS raw rips) looked terrible.

    I barely even know what I am doing with AviSynth, but still managed to get better looking denoising and post conversion than what Topaz does.
