  1. I've noticed that from today, ITV Hub's mpd files have changed and no longer download with the normal tools.

Two different files used to show, one that was 1.8KB and another that was 2.1 KB. The 2.1KB file always worked perfectly but from today this doesn't appear.

If you try to grab the 1.8KB file it returns: ERROR: Unable to download webpage: HTTP Error 403: Forbidden (caused by <HTTPError 403: 'Forbidden'>)

Can anyone help? Link below as an example but it happens with every video.

youtube-dl. I've tried with and without -u -p too, and it made no difference.

Up until yesterday, the 2.1KB file always showed after you refreshed a couple of times, but now you only see the 1.8KB file regardless of how many times you refresh the page and this doesn't work.

The key isn't the problem, it's the MPD file.

  7. They changed the mpd now, lol.
It can be downloaded with yt-dlp and --allow-unplayable-formats.

Haha you're right, the 2.1KB files are showing again, WTF?

This is how it was when it was working.

Lets hope they don't change again, cheers!

    with yt-dlp I get

    C:\Users\username\YT DLP> yt-dlp.exe https://www.itv.com/h
    ub/innocent/2a4638a0005
    [ITV] 2a4638a0005: Downloading webpage

ERROR: [ITV] 2a4638a0005: Unable to download JSON metadata: HTTP Error 404: Not
    Found (caused by <HTTPError 404: 'Not Found'>)
    is C:\Users\username\YT DLP> yt-dlp.exe https://www.itv.com/h
    ub/innocent/2a4638a0005 the right syntax?

Tried adding --allow-unplayable-formats after the url. Is that right?

    Similar with youtube dl

    --allow-u is added before URL
I'm not sure if the link will work just like that, instead you probably need the MPD url which probably can be gained by developer tools -> network

By opening developer tools before accessing the page and use the filter in the network tab to write mpd.

However, itv seems to have another trick up their sleeve and I'm not gonna explain how to beat it.

    Here's your video.

    I don't know.
I did something and the mpd changed.
Maybe it was luck and it was one of those times when mpd just changes after a few refreshes.
Or maybe the change was because of the thing I did.
