Just a heads up, ran across this article about a Windows 10 feature that I was not aware of:
https://www.pcgamer.com/windows-10-has-a-built-in-ransomware-block-you-just-need-to-enable-it/
I just checked and by default it seems to be off, at least it was on my system.
As someone that has gotten hit by ransomware on an XP and a Win 7, and funny enough, I have had 2 Linux based systems, a Fedora install and a Mint install that a browser based ransomware attack was attempted, Fedora's SELinux blocked it and Firefox on Mint almost seemed like it was going to be compromised but AppArmor stopped it.
Seems like Win 10 now has it's version of these.
