Unsure if this is the right place, please move if necessary. This is a long shot, but: might anyone here know what sort of tech was used to accomplish this look? (film stills below)
For context, this is "Guadalcanel Requiem" by Nam June Paik from 1977-79. Any help/tips are greatly appreciated.

My educated guesses at a glance...
1. Some kind of edge enhancement.
2. Color inversion and then embossing.
3. "Solarizing" (threshold-based inversion) along with reduced color pallette, also some edge effect similar to #1.
