Yes the JSON query to use is the main stumbling block with the public scripts, obviously somebody has since modded one of those judging by the amount of keys being posted on here, strange that this particular nugget seems to have not come to the fore yet.

I'm a newbie here. Could you please let me know if there is any working workaroud/script to extract widevine DRM keys? There are a few ones on github but I am not sure if they actually working or not. That's why I came here to know the latest working ways you guys using to extract keys.

yeh, wks-keys needs a working CDM in order to imitate a legit client.
The CDM that comes with it has been revoked on most sites.
replace the 2 files in this directory with your cdm files:
device_client_id_blob - client_id.binCode:WKS-KEYS/pywidevine/L3/cdm/devices/android_generic
device_private_key - private_key.pem
theres a lot of info in this thread about how to get the mpd, pssh, keys etc for various sites

did you add anything in the headers.py file?
im pretty sure you need a header like 'dt-custom-data' with a long string of characters.
it will be in your POST request to the license server.
cos otherwise you are requesting the decryption key from the license server with content id (pssh) and your device (cdm), without any authorisation code to prove that you should have access. if that was the case, anyone with the pssh could get the decryption key. (i could be wrong about this)
also, there shouldnt be a space in your PSSH value.
You could try wks-keys on this site and i can let you know which values are correct.

Regained a proper header and boom! It successfully extracted the key and I managed to decrypted the file in few secs! Still can't believe my eyes I done it in just few hours by reading this thread, whereas spent lots of days on github without any success. That's Videohelp quality!
