Then you may be disappointed... This forum has probably been the most helpful. A couple of other places (usually support for various apps) looked like they were going to be helpful, but have just turned into places for people begging for someone else to spoon feed them and as a result it often ends in a ban on the discussion there.

Any of the more 'in the know' developers keep their cards close to their chests. They're very reluctant to share their personal scripts. The best most of us can hope for is the likes of the already leaked tools, many of which are old and no longer work (without knowing how to edit them). WKS-KEYS is probably the main one that still works... but even that needs personal variations to the script (or completely new scripts) for various sites to work. Sadly the instructions that came with that are about as good as it gets.

Tutorials are pretty much non-existant too. I have seen various people ask for help elsewhere and often the answers that come back make no sense unless you know Py etc. In fact serveral times I have seen them literally just say 'go learn Python'.

It works until it gets blacklisted/revoked. Since it's your personal one, don't share it and it will maybe last much much longer (maybe years). Anything shared is likely to stop working quicker.

Each device has an individual key (different deviceIDs)... if they revoke your deviceID then the CDM you extracted and the device you extracted from will no longer be able to decrypt Widevine.

Then there is the SystemID... Google could revoke that too... but that would stop all (millions of) devices using that SystemID from being able to decrypt Widevine unless they roll out an OS update with a new SystemID to affected devices. Which is only any good for devices still supported with new updates.

if it blocked the device that you extracted it from will never be able to play any widevine video again
so if your key is revoked by google you need to buy a new device to even play any widevine video again

Or your device goes eol. Or the cdm gets revoked but I'd cdm is revoked you could update Android version on device probably and dump keys again.

the device is also blocked for ever yes for ever so if you extracted the key from a new device you bought it recently Do not use it even for yourself
try on an old device you don't want it anymore

Google used to do this but not any more, thankfully. Either way you don't want to be rooting your personal phone, but instead get a cheap throwaway random Chinese model from alibaba or second hand one pref android v7 or 8.
