Hello. I extract the audio and video from a movie in mkv. Audio in ac3 and Video in h264. I need to edit the movie in Sony Vegas or Premiere.
After editing, what is the best audio and video format you recommend. I want with the least possible loss of quality.

It depends on how you want to play it back. If it's only on the PC choose lossless audio and video.
If it's on the TV (for example) you have to choose something the TV can play.
    etc, etc

  3. How about wav + signed 24bit little endian 48kHz? If you want to save some space for e.g. archiving, you could use lossless FLAC.
    etc, etc
