I've downloaded many files, but a handful have had glitches, bad frames, or lord knows what. When I load them into vcdeasy, the file will scan up till the bad frame and then stop, preventing me from creating a complete bin file. For some reason I CAN burn the complete file with nero, but it won't let me add chapters which I would like to. I've tried using vcdgear, but it seems to just split the files into 2 pieces, dividing them at the glitch. Tmpegnc won't join them back together. Any suggestions short of actually reencoding them?

try the Merge&Cut tool in TMPGEnc
I use it to fix errors -- it works pretty good
your not really doing a Merge&Cut but it seems to re-write and re-calculate the header - just make sure to select the correct SVCD typeyour pal,

I tried using the merge and cut, but it stopped at the same places in the files as vcdeasy does.
