Not really breaking news but still worth to share.
I am so happy for ffmpeg ( 01:07:06) and linux as well as the open-source community that we even made it to the Mars. Congratulations to all guys that wasted their brains on contributing to any of this!
What can i say, ffmpeg just rules (now more than just one planet )!
This should be inspiring for all students out there, please contribute to the open source community.
EDIT: added timecode
Try StreamFab Downloader and download from Netflix, Amazon, Youtube! Or Try DVDFab and copy Blu-rays! or rip iTunes movies!

Something like this rubs me the wrong way, it ignores rightful inventors.
ffmpeg is indeed useful, mostly because it's free.
But it's reverse engineered technology. I don't really give credit to those that reverse engineer, I prefer to give credit to those that actually developed the technology.
Some good original stuff came from it, such as FFV1. So it's not entirely reverse engineered.
But what exactly was used here?Want my help? Ask here! (not via PM!)
FAQs: Best Blank Discs • Best TBCs • Best VCRs for capture • Restore VHS -
You seem to have a grudge on reverse engineered technology.
Do not worry I'm sure that robots on Mars do not care. -
If people use it that way then the designers lose out, that why reverse engineering is frowned upon.
