Why is it when I use eac3to to extract AC3 audio as AC3, and then extract the same AC3 track as FLAC from a Blu-Ray, the volume on the FLAC extraction is much louder? It's not just this Blu-Ray set either, it seems to be when I extract AC3 as FLAC from any Blu-Ray.
It says clipping is detected, and would need a second pass when extracting as FLAC. Does that have anything to with it? I would think that would lower the volume if thats the case in order to stop clipping.
Do the Blu-Rays normalize AC3 audio or something to lower the volume of a much louder source audio when it is put onto the Blu-Ray? Which one is the correct volume?
