I used the convert guide on this site, followed it exactly. The DivX file was 697 Mb, lasting roughly 1 hour 29 minutes. After converting it to MPEG2 using the guide. It was 1.7 GB's big. Is this normal? Do i have to use 3 CD's ? I converted it to SVCD, because that's what the fps asked for. Please advice.

So it goes. I too have followed the many and various guides with mixed results. Mostly the finished products are quite watchable 2 disk VCDs which I play on a Brand X DVD player which plays almost all formats.
I keep reading that SVCD on 2 disk is easy. Prolly is but I' too lazy to dig deeper.
