  1. I used the convert guide on this site, followed it exactly. The DivX file was 697 Mb, lasting roughly 1 hour 29 minutes. After converting it to MPEG2 using the guide. It was 1.7 GB's big. Is this normal? Do i have to use 3 CD's ? I converted it to SVCD, because that's what the fps asked for. Please advice.

    So it goes. I too have followed the many and various guides with mixed results. Mostly the finished products are quite watchable 2 disk VCDs which I play on a Brand X DVD player which plays almost all formats.
    I keep reading that SVCD on 2 disk is easy. Prolly is but I' too lazy to dig deeper.

  3. im not an xpert , however i have followed the guides , i have gotten good results , in response to your question yeah the file size is normal for an mpg2 conversion if you need to calculate the file size use a bit rate calculator , undr the tools section
