  1. Hello,

I have a lot of avi files coming from dv capture.
On some of them, I have to modify the TapeName metadata, but I can't find how to do that.

    Any advice ?

    Thanks in advance,

    Chrisbati

You can disable the option that splits files.
Or try. I find that software (WinDV,etc) often ignores the directive.

  3. Hello,

WinDV and other soft for DV capture only allows to read a real tape, not the catpured file (avi).
In my case, I have the avi file with an incorrect tapename in the metadata of the avi file, and i want to change it.

if the metadata is in the avi container, you can probably edit it with something like abcavi. if it is in the dv stream, either hex editor, or one of those old dv processing apps, or you are out of luck.

  5. I've already tried abcAVI, the tapename appears but not possible to modify it, I don't know why.
It's in the RIFF part of the meta.
