  1. My new digital camera, Fuji 2800Zoom, takes nice 1minute avi's, but TMPGEnc won't recognize the file format! Any suggestions out there....was wondering if there's a special codec I'm missing. Mike

I also have just purchased a Fuji 2800 zoom and am having the same problems, can anyone help. I can email a sample video if someone wants to test it.

have you tried frameserving the file to TMPG?
    download and install avisynth(in tools)
open notepad, and create a file that says this:
    avisource("c:\path\capture.avi")

save as something.avs (make sure to set file type to all files)
use this .avs file as your video source in TMPG, and it should work just fine.

Thanks, but can you elaborate more clearly as I followed your instructions exactly and it doesn't work. Do I save a text file in notepad?

when you finish writing the text file, and go to file-->save as
there's a little drop down box that defaults to .txt files, make sure it is set to all files, and name your file something.avs
try opening that file in media player. you should see the video--it will be choppy, but it will show up.
