Hello,
I have a Pioneer A03 DVD writer.
When i used Nero 5572 for the first time to write a DVD-R, it gave me the choice of using x1 or x2 speed for burning since DVD-R can be burned at x2.
Then i used a DVD-RW and the only choice was x1. it's normal.
But, since this moment, i cannot return to x2 speed even if i insert a DVD-R. It only display x1 in the speed selection box while it has detected a DVD-R disk.
I tried to reboot, same problem.
Can someone tell me how to get x2 speed option back?

Put in a V2 or higher DVD-R. You are probably using generic media (version 1.0, no doubt). NERO will detect this and set the available speeds accordingly.
