  1. I have an AGPTek media player but can't seem to get the subtitles to play along side the video. I've tried making sure both files have the same name and are in the same folder and press the subtitle button when the videos playing . Even my old WD Media Player worked with that. Anyone know how to get this to work.

I see there a number of standalone media players out there. Is there one that'll do this without a problem?

You might need to merge the subtitle for it to work.

Hi, jaca, Simplly download the vlc media player and you get what you want. As you have known that the files are to be in the same folder. srt is the comman format for easy capture.
Just open the video and in the subtitle menu select the srt file.
The vlc would auto capture srt files if you open the video, provided the srt in the same folder.
The vlc is also having a menu called vsub, from which you just play the video and clicking this would provide the download link for srt for your video , if it is a movie, and it will play with synced subtitles below the video.
