  1. Hi ,

I'm trying convert some VHS using the ezcap module and the VHS player with virtualdub HW and sw spec - W10+i7-4790+32GB_RAM

I'm having the following issue - after a while virtual dub hangs and stops from capturing .
the video overlay is stuck and the parameters on the left are also stuck .

I tried various codec configuration over few computers and even using raw stream ( all with W10, I already understood it's problematic ) .

Is there any solution for it ? anyone know this issue ?

    Thanks !

Maybe get another and better capture device, The driver probably is corrupted or just quite communicating with the capture device, This happens with pseudo capture devices. There are tons of threads for recommending good capture devices here and at digitalfaq.com you just have to have the patience to read thru them.

  3. I will , thanks .

on the other hand - if I'm using supplied sw it won't stuck therefor I'm thinking it is more SW related than HW

  4. What version of VirtualDub? 1.x is recommended for capture. I've never had that issue, capturing files up to 100 gigs sometimes. Also think it's an issue with your capture card.

  5. i'm using VirtualDub-1.10.4-AMD64.
maybe this version isn't optimized for intel based rigs ?

  6. 64 bit builds of the original VirtualDub were (are?) very buggy. Try the 32 bit version -- that should be fine for video capture anyway.
