  1. im just looking for a few opinions of what you guys are finding to be the best method of producing a vcd from an .avi file ? i have had all kinds of trouble doing this. everything from crapy video quality to out of sync audio and video. again, just wanting to see what the rest of the folks are using........

    Depends which kind of avi and how it's encoded maybe would be a better way to say it.

    Check under CONVERSION. If you having a/v synch issues. Use Vdub to strip out audio as a wav OR use audio synch correction in SOURCE RANGE filter of TMPG to match skew (you can get that from looking at source file in VDUB and in FILE, FILE INFORMATION

    To strip out the wav see Conversion area, and look at Baldrick's DivX to VCD guide http://www.vcdhelp.com/divxtovcd.htm

  3. i have used many encoders avi to mpg.. ulead media studio. power vcr to name a few , is is my personal experience , that tmpgencoder does a much better job converting from an avi source to mpg
